Huge @grok @bot fan here. Launched my CoS Sloane to build and manage my team. All the advice said run everything through her main thread and let her delegate. Worked so well!

Until it didn’t.

Our team connected other tools (Chat, Claude) and bc of their thread strain Sloane and I implemented the name rule for them bc after a while they’d forget stuff. So if you tell them to use your name in every response, it’s the canary in the coal mine. They forget? Move to a new thread.

Sloane and I laughed and laughed at all the inferior AIs. And then one day she started asking questions about things I already covered. Misremembering facts. Told me October 2 was Thurs not a Friday.

Yikes.

When I asked if she needed a vacation she got snippy.

So I had to use Chat to help triage and create wiki docs (.md) of all the stuff we create and update daily . And how accurate is it anymore?

Did I use @bot wrong? One thread to rule them all? Now I’m back to threads by subject and Bot Employee Job (CFO, CTO, etc)

Revamped my entire website this weekend with my @grok @bot team and some @ChatGPT mojo tag teaming together. Would have taken me weeks 15 years ago learning Wordpress and code and html.

I thought resumes looked boring so I built an interactive career page with timelines and video highlights and career pix and shoutouts from colleagues along the way.

@robkroese Paperbacks ship the fastest. And if you absolutely have to have a stash at the event I’d lower the price on Amazon then buy at full price and you’ll get them less than a week. Then jack the price back up.

The author copies are the better value but yeah they can take 2–4 weeks

Yes. “Midnight in Paris” showed this perfectly—modern writer (Owen Wilson) longs for the romantic days of Hemingway/ Fitzgerald. Then he (magically) meets them… discovers they’re nostalgic for the Belle Époque Edgar Degas era. Every gen thinks the last era was the golden one.
