@ericlaw Cool! I’m not sure I was aware of that property. Looking for it specifically on MDN, it’s acknowledged as existing but not documented, which is odd.

@ericlaw I get the significance of something like that when counting the times someone was mortally wounded, for example, but if you’re counting bugs in software, then it feels like zero and one are pretty close, and infinity is the outlier.
@atpfm Listening to this episode’s intro section on how “crazy” things got at Twitter is a lot like listening to early pandemic podcasts.
Like “Ha, you think *this* is crazy, just wait till you get to the layoffs and the ultimatum and the 1am code reviews and the...”
@Carnage4Life I think most of us are just happy to know we’re doing our part by forgoing frivolous purchases like mice and webcams so those multi-billion dollar earnings can be a few hundred dollars higher.
@mattbirchler Is it defending Apple to say the latest experience MKBHD demonstrates in that clip seems fine for both platforms? I’m all for interoperability, but SMS seems pretty okay for that already? (Yes, a better protocol would add security, etc., this is just about the state of SMS.)
@github Feature request to please first-class Mastodon profile links in your user profile for automatic verification. Motivation: https://t.co/MuiKBOjWoo
@maggiepint Azure hired like crazy until very recently and now can’t hire at all. During a time when a lot of good people are looking for work. Is that the right approach? It doesn’t feel like it. Tho you make a great point that she’s not optimizing for the employees, but for the company!
I’m looking for anyone who can help track down a weird behavior… I got a new iPhone recently and find that shortly following the first time I type my passcode in after turning the phone on, there is a brief sound and haptic bump while the Home screen is shown. 1/
I can’t find any mention of this as a feature or something I can turn off. My previous phone and my wife’s phone do not have this behavior. Does anyone have ideas?? 4/
No implementation is perfect and bugs happen. And the scenario here is definitely obscure! That said, when your security team declines to fix a trivial lock screen bypass *twice* after being externally reported, that is a real cause for concern.
@liuliu@sindresorhus I don’t have the background to know if your README already addresses this: Would it be possible to use Apple’s neural engine hardware for an even bigger benefit than GPU?
@hacks4pancakes FYI, here’s the view from https://t.co/x8ErHuSz5l. These appear to be three distinct accounts with two different avatars, a different set of posts each, and very different follower counts. Do you have a preferred account?
