A writer & editor of an Anglo-Cascadian persuasion, I'm unmaking and reshaping words & trying to sling as much beauty at the big darkness before it swallows me.
"Hourglass" — A flash piece based on a single image. Not exactly horror, but not exactly not. A woman does something she knows is wrong but owns it, and things unravel fast. #flashfiction https://t.co/RFHaBNjCJG
"Yellow Nebula" — Any description might ruin it, so just read this odd slice of screenplay about something both domestic and cosmic, perhaps. https://t.co/BPPOsqP1CA
I really believe Democrats should be telling voters what exactly Trump is talking about when he says `post birth abortion` - because it’s so much worse than it sounds.
First, let's remember the thousands of people who lost their lives on that horrifying day. And second, Donald Trump has always been disgusting. As well as a liar.
Just a reminder that Trump’s reaction in his first interview on 9/11 right after the towers went down was to brag (falsely) that he now owned the tallest building in Manhattan.
"Downside" — A short horror piece with a subconscious subtext that surprised me, even though it came out of one of my dreams and, well, I wrote it! #FlashFiction#shortstories https://t.co/vtYyhhH1C2
BREAKING: The media is finally acknowledging Donald Trump’s cognitive capabilities are severely diminished in his old age. Last night, Donald Trump spent hours rambling and slurring his words in his interview. Retweet so all Americans know Trump is senile
@saras76@JoeBiden "Declining dementia" would mean it's improving. I know words can be hard. But more to the point, mocking dementia sufferers is kind of awful. My Dad suffered with it for years and died in February, and he was no fool, however awful the condition can be.
@nyttypos@marisakabas2@VP Except "beingstupidism" doesn't have a Wikipedia entry. You simply made it up. And it *is* worse, especially now you know about it; it's a form of bigotry and prejudice, which hopefully you agree are things we want to eradicate from our world.
This morning on CBC the owner of the Maligne Lodge in Jasper was interviewed. She blamed the Federal Government for not doing something sooner. The Request has to come from the Province. Danielle Smith cut the firefighting budget. She waited to ask for help.
@nyttypos@marisakabas2@VP It's a common hypercorrection, and publicly highlighting people's errors to criticize them is known as linguicism. Why correct people's grammar unsolicited and unpaid (as opposed to doing it for a living and only when asked to)? It's never a good look.
Not ONE of my Republican colleagues has supported my efforts to raise the minimum wage to $15/hr.
And about 90% of them want to cut Social Security.
Anybody who is under the illusion that the Republicans care two wits for the working class is terribly wrong.
Here’s your reminder that these three have created 49 million out of the 51 million jobs in America since 1989.
96% of all jobs for the last 35 years -- created by Democratic Presidents.
I am a well-meaning, elderly man who sometime has a poor memory. And I also would be a better choice for president than the narcissistic, fascist who regularly word vomits.
This isn’t hard, people. I choose Biden. Because I’m not stupid.
