@8dadLA@JakeWSimons Then support Israel against Hamas, who would cheerfully kill all Jews, before moving on to all Christians, atheists and agnostics. Not forgetting any Muslims who disagree with them, they wouldn't be safe, either.
@VanAndNum24 @Nara_Hodge I've been. Lots of people live there. Looking at their names, some of them are descended from Spaniards, but they'd still rather be British.
ππ¦π΅π³π° claims that Cate Blanchett's assertion that she is middle class is "baffling". Her father was an advertising executive and her mother a teacher: that sounds solidly middle class to me. Gaining enormous wealth might change the class of your children, not not yours.
@keanfei47@SuzieWo20886208 That, as Thomas Sowell has pointed out, is because Socialists believe that human nature can be changed, and even perfected. Unfortunately for them, it cannot.
@SuzieWo20886208 His own words told us all we needed to know. He's an anti-Semitic lover of terrorists, not because they're terrorists, but because they're opposed to everything British and everything American. He's a septuagenarian student union activist who never noticed the fall of the USSR.
@SuzieWo20886208 You may be right about the average British voter, and if you are, it's the fault of the left-dominated teaching profession in this country, but the average British voter still saw through Corbyn.
@gralegav@simonmaginn If that is so, how is it that Western media regularly treat the pronouncements of Hamas as irrefutable fact, but would treat any Israeli statement with reservations, even if it was the Tel Aviv speaking clock?
@gralegav@simonmaginn Why? Hamas has a better publicity machine. Actually, the anti-Israel rhetoric goes back before Hamas, to the KGB in 1975. Up to then, the Western Left had been broadly pro-Zionism, but after the USSR saw that Israel was becoming pally with the USA, that had to be stopped.
@Martin_Abrams You had a ceasefire, but your side broke it by firing rockets into Israel. Why is Israel expected just to shrug its shoulders when attacked?
@michaeljswalker@afneil Given how often Likud has been in power, if they wanted to destroy Palestine, they'd have done it decades ago. Israel has the capacity to eradicate Palestinians, but lacks the will. Hamas has the will to exterminate the Jews, but lacks the capacity.
