I'm madly in love and currently on my honeymoon. We were married in November 1973. Each time I see her, I have ocular induced asthma. She takes my breath away.
Wishing true love to everyone.
To me the big question is balance of $$ to pages.
$25 for a 115 page book (absurd) is a no for me.
$15 for a $200 page book (reasonable) okay.
Then it is the author, premise, story for me.
@goblinsearch I do wonder how much attention readers pay to length when choosing something to read - especially when it's an ebook and they can't see the physical thickness.
If they want to pay all the logistics for a personal event okay. But at an event that is paid by tax payers as a rite of passage for a large group of people that believe the world needs moments of contemplation and dignity NO!
The faculty and the public have expectations for the event. Some students and some parents need to learn to respect and throw their little fits on their time.
@AuthorGoodwin You had a negative comment on this post, focus on the positive. The truth is there are so many books out there it is hard to pick which one first to read. There are also lots of readers with varied tastes. Enjoy the ones you selected--treat yourself schedule a time.
Eat lots of beans and you can get lots of sounds similar to these. They will have as much to do with power and speed, and effectiveness. Or was that sound actually your kid in the back seat making pretend sounds, to play like he was a cool driver?
I do. In fact I sometimes think there should be a government welfare program that assigns an effective market team that allows authors to author.
But knowing government programs we would be worse off not better. Shrugging emoji.
I've read so many 'distinctly average' books with zillions of reviews.
Lots of reviews means lots of sales.
Which suggests to me that good marketing is more important than writing a good book.
Do you agree?
Well this might not help since I am angry at politics almost all the time.
But I don't plan to write about them. I write tounge in cheek ghost stories. Not forked tounge stories.
What the hell has happened to my feed!
It's suddenly void of book and writing stuff, and filled with political anger!
Authors, readers, book lovers say hi. I need to re-train the algorithm.
@C__Herridge@SecRubio@karolineleavitt@WhiteHouse Catherine Herridge is an honest journalist. If main stream media had journalists 1/2 as honest and capable there would be hope. Instead they are 1/100 the journalist she is. Forget what their journalism (activism) professors taught and grow up to be real journalists like her.
India is already doing this. Solar panels above irrigation canals. Then solar panels to shade all parking lots. Then on fence lines and building surfaces. Only the on farm, hunting and recreation land.
@PeterDiamandis@elonmusk Stop destroying rural communities and towns, farm and hunting land in the meantime.
Once those things are gone they will never return. The AI data centers will eventually leave, but only urban sprawl and cultural rot will exist in their place.
@NancyAgirl has done excellent covers for me at very reasonable prices. If you are look for cover work reaching out and seeing what she can do for you is a good idea.
My handwriting is far from good. But it can be read if you follow the same easy steps I do.
1-Remember it is always printed even if it looks cursive.
2-Remember what I wrote.
3-Pretend you actually read it.
Hi, I am seeking helpful volunteers.
The next book in the Liana and Dylan cozy ghost series is getting ready for release on July 1st.
I need to have some advanced copy reviewers. Volunteers will receive an Epub file or .PDF if preferred. 268 pages. Character-driven ghost story with no jump scares.
Please let me know if you are interested.
Actually, I've changed my mind.
Forcing yourself to wait a while before checking your KDP figures is a bad idea.
You build up your hopes and get dissapointed.
At least incessant checking keeps your expectations low! ๐
As you know people will judge a book and review it like they will and trying to correct them is pointless. Some people see fantasy and sci-fi as all being adolescent or young adult. A teen could enjoy Path to Power, so can adults. I say don't worry about it.
I'm confused...
For YA books, surely you'd expect them to advertise themselves as being YA?
If they don't specify this, what would make you think they are?
I'm confused because it seems someone got the wrong idea about my book. How do I fix this?
