@sloggerslo714 Yeah. Look I know as an upper middle class white Christian male basically every Trump policy proposal helps me out…. (Other than being a teacher)
But that isn’t the case for many & most of those people are far more vulnerable than I am
Vance is far more MAGA than Pence
& I think that will be a refrain we hear a lot in the coming months.
The Trump admin 2.0 will be far less moderated by traditional GOPers as basically all of them are gone.
Going to get interesting
@mr__blonde_ He had much more moderate people around him those in his first term. A lot of those people are gone….Maybe all of them
It will be interesting
I know 2016-2020 everyday the headlines were some crazy thing he said or did. You honestly never knew what you were going to wake up to
@mr__blonde_ You moderating his policies makes them more palatable & more possible to get past. I’m assuming you are making the case that his admin moderates the policy agenda some w/ still harsh rhetoric to keep his base happy?
Senate flipping = massive judicial appointments again
@SaskiaPopescu Covid showed we are one misstep from global pandemic. We have had plenty of chances before Trump & most administrations had good policies in place to protect us & the world. Trump didn’t
Yep. This is a big one too
I actually think Trump’s policy agenda in 2024 is far more dangerous than it was in 2020 & honestly that helped set the stage for a global pandemic that killed millions
Biden was a career politicians who had made a good name for himself across the isle & in his party. He was solid candidate with a good story.
Harris had far less experience & far less reputation to run on
Her underperforming Biden in 2020 doesn’t surprise me :/
Harris is on track to underperform Biden by 5 points in Minnesota, despite picking Tim Walz as her VP. If there's a home state VP effect, we're just not seeing it — that's basically exactly her national underperformance on Biden and is, in fact, worse than the rest of the Midwest
@MattGlassman312 We are going to find out about Ukraine, tariffs, mass deportations … a lot of really challenging & life changing policies he has been saying he will do.
Those large blanket tariffs are going to hurt
Honestly if Trump & the GOP pull aide & support for Ukraine … this will be the most consequential policy choice of his 2 terms & will have lasting ramifications for decades.
I fear an empowered Russia & China with a isolationist USA will become far more powerful in geopolitics
My thoughts tonight are with the people of Ukraine.
I’m so sorry. We failed you.
I hope you continue to stand strong with support from Europe. I will pray for you.
@chriscfore@RyanDSmithEdD Yeah. Our bond measure here in Clovis to finish a new high school my son is suppose to attend is sitting at 54.75 right now 👀
@JC643DP Yeah I don’t see a path to Harris winning with PA’s map as it stands. & losing NC & GA = loss
Trump & Co will have no excuse for not turning around the economy & immigration with Congress, SCOTUS & the White House for at least 2 years
Yeah I feel the same. Child apportion was a terrible policy but most of his policies weren’t “terrible” even though I disagree with them.
But his behavior is terrible & it changed people. People I know & care about. :/
The single worst thing about Trump to me will always be how much he's changed people. I've watched friends and relatives become entirely new, worse people in the wake of his political rise. Like it's not merely that he's a terrible guy, it's that he's ruined people.
Yeah I don’t get this. Clear needs for SF. Lions & MN look really good. Why they wouldn’t add pieces like last year…. Makes me think the FO doesn’t believe this is the year to go all in
The #49ers look like losers at the trade deadline today. Their competitors Baltimore, KC, Minnesota, Cardinals, Lions, and Commanders all upgraded significantly and the Niners didn't.
for 80 millionth time, the only reason Pennsylvania can't do this is because Republicans blocked a bill that would've allowed the pre-processing of early votes
