If Fiona Bruce is going to grill the Greens about there vetting system - when is she going to ask the Deformoron about the £millions that Fartage is getting foreign billionaire?

@charlotteukcity@LindaR39@JohnSlinger It was interesting to see how mediocre Burnham is last night.
This leadership challenge is all encouraged by the media, using a man with an inflated ego.
The reality is maybe 1 day Burnham could have been the PM. He’s not my cup of tea but I can see something there. But the truth is this is not the way to do it. It’s not the Labour way. That’s why few Members will now ever vote for him. His judgement is way off. Not a good trait
A little brain worm is whispering to me that the Burnham bid for premiership will fizzle out. I don’t care how much he’s talked up.
Next to Starmer he looks shallow and over confident bearing in mind Burnham’s global experience is negligible IMO.
Texts to @harriet_symonds from Labour MPs angry with @AndyBurnham
MP: ‘There’s no way I’m going to Makerfield now, good luck to the whips!’
Labour source: ‘Andy Burnham ran for leader in 2010 and lost. He ran for leader in 2015 and lost. He has spent the last two years undermining this Labour government at every opportunity in pursuit of his goal of becoming Labour leader. To suggest he’s only running because of Wes is an insult to everyone with a modicum of intelligence.’
2nd MP: ‘That's saved me a hotel and petrol money. Thanks Andy’
3rd MP: ‘Andy Burnham failed in 2010. He failed in 2015. He ran away from Westminster when the going got tough. That’s not leadership.’
4th MP: ‘Not the only one. I was planning to go on Saturday. But I campaign for great candidates, our Party and to make our country better, not for people who are only in for it for themselves.’
5th MP: ‘I was prepared to support Burnham by making some canvassing calls from the other side of the country. Absolutely no way, now. Who the hell does he think he is?’
Yes, exactly. Who do you think you are, Andy Burnham?
These times are extremely serious. There is no better leader than Keir Starmer at this time. He is serious, focused on stability and strategic. In a position where those qualities are admired by the coalition of the willing. Burnham doesn’t cut it.
@elsieblundell@AndyBurnhamGM That is the most condescending, patronising post I've ever read - from a Labour MP.
I have been a member all my adult life and I have never, ever encountered the level of personal ambition & opportunism demonstrated by AB.
I watched #bbcqt
His arrogance was unbelievable.
@bbc5live why are you pretending Burnham wanting to be PM is news? Just another excuse to bash the government. I won’t be listening to Farage enabler, @ChrisMasonBBC of course. He is bringing the BBC down with him.
The media and their wealthy backers want Burnham to win so that he can then challenge for the leadership and create division within the Labour government which will then enhance their demand for an immediate general election. They are desperate to get back on the gravy train.
This is Nigel Farage at his worst and Keir Starmer at his best. The difference between darkness and light, night and day. Farage is a hate-mongering, mob-rousing monster who should be allowed nowhere near government.
A fifth Labour MP texts: ‘I was prepared to support Burnham by making some canvassing calls from the other side of the country. Absolutely no way, now. Who the hell does he think he is?’
Given Wes Streeting has royally messed up all eyes are on Burnham to be the ‘saviour’ He doesn’t look or sound like a saviour to me. He’s no relevant experience and his sales pitch to Makerfield doesn’t land for being PM. He’s bitten off way more than he can chew. Failures both
