34 hour suspension for assaulting a police officer and a civilian, stealing time while on sick leave, driving intoxicated, and bringing shame to so many great police officers working at @ColumbusPolice . This chief has ruined this agency by making it a criminal organization… sad

When @MayorGinther told you @ColumbusPolice Chief Bryant would change the culture of the Division. He meant it.

Daimon Scales lied about being sick. He got drunk during his work hours, assaulted a female colleague and threatened a private citizen. He yelled “bitch” and the “N word” repeatedly and then drove home drunk. Everything except the lying and driving is on video (he admitted to those).

Bryant gave him a slap on the wrist - in fact gave him less of a suspension than “simple” drunk driving usually gets. A year ago, she fired an officer because he posted public records that she didn’t like.

Daimon Scales is in the club and so he gets a slap on the wrist. Every previous Chief would have fired him.

Contrast with Deputy Chief Alli who was fully exonerated of false and malicious charges levied against him by @1stACPotts. The investigation into the allegation revealed conclusively that Potts lied about Alli. Alli remains off duty, stripped of his gun and badge while Scales is back to work. Why? Because Alli isn’t in the club.
