@miles_commodore Five sets is one of the reasons I love the majors. I love how there are more ebbs and flows in a match. I love the endurance aspect of the match and that it is not just about skill it is about survival but I agree since men play five so should the women since the pay is equal now
@ZachLowy Ye, it does need alterations. Such as having an official stopping the clock so random extra time, that is somewhat objective, is not needed at the end of 45 and 90 minutes. It would be better with a clock counting down. Also end the hydration breaks.
@Gee__Gazza I follow soccer every four years. The world cup is all I am interested in. I only follow tennis during the four majors. What is the big deal?
@ContrarianCoder@FOXSoccer When you're supposed to lose by 6 to 8 goals. When your team isn't quick enough to really create an offensive push. When you come from a nation with an extremely limited budget for soccer and play a nation ranked #3 and spends millions on facilities and players. 0-0 is a dream.
@FOXSoccer@FOXSports If this match was being compared to a Hockey Game. It was if Spain was on a 90 minute power play and Cape Verde completely shut them down.
@Howie_89@DeclanMode02 I didn't say I needed to. It is just an opportunity to get off the couch and grab or do something. Putting the laundry into the drier, which I just did, during the first hydration break in the Netherlands/Japan match is another option.
@oneyorkshiregay@DeclanMode02 You can blame FIFA. Us in America don't like the breaks either. The world cup being awarded to North America was not dependent on hydration breaks.
@Nick___Collins I agree they could have scheduled a noon eastern or central match. Which would have been 5 or 6pm in England but that would be the earliest first game. However no world cup match should start before noon local time.
@BOYADEE I can't believe the Europeans complain about advertising. Your team uniforms are advertisements. When you watch a match you seem to be cheering for Qatar Airlines because your team logo is next to impossible to see.
@LauraBabcock Trump doesn't want your country. He wants Alberta and the Territories. The rest of Canada is irrelevant. I guess you could make an argument for the prairie provinces as well.
@guyfelicella The Flag does not represent Trump. It represents the people, culture, land, and our history. Canadians booing the Flag are disrespecting all Americans. Despite this we still respect Canadians as seen when there was a Canadian National anthem issue in Detroit.
@CrockerBrock I love Canadians. I've had many conversations with them over coffee at Tim Hortons or at a local bar. However on the international stage they realize they are irrelevant and act like a noisy, yelping little dog. All bark no bite. Let them boo us if it makes them feel big.
@JoshBrown06 The only time I follow soccer is the world cup. I don't have any interest in the MLS, The Premier League or any league. But I absolutely love the World Cup.
