@CheweyLife@sjs856 Please learn some chemistry and you will se thru this common misconception. These compounds dissolve in water to produce harmless species at those concentrations. Fluoride is the species - a salt of fluorine. It is chemically irrelevant about the origin - all fluoride is same
@MaximZavet@smith_jsbe8786@sjs856 That is chemically irrelevant. H2O is a product of chemical reactions. It is exactly the same as H2O from any other source. The molecule/chemical are all exactly the same. Same for fluoride.
@TalonOrdo @sjs856 Think of sodium. As a salt with sodium chloride (table salt) it simply dissolved in water. As sodium metal it reacts explosively with water. Same element in a different form. The chemical makeup is very important.
@TalonOrdo @sjs856 Please learn some chemistry. The active ingredient in Prozac is fluoxetine, with a CF3 group. It contains organic F (C-F bonds). Fluoride is completely different. Same element but in a very different form.
@Shelleybe3@sjs856 Please learn some chemistry - you have repeated a common misunderstanding. The compound that is added dissolves is water to give fluoride (and hydrogen ions and salicylic acid) - all harmless for human consumption at those concentrations. Fluoride is fluoride.
