@AngusReid Had the same happen to my wife and I. Makes zero sense and is bad policy. We had our NAAT molecular tests one hour before we drove across the border.

@ShannonTarran14 @MelissaLantsman And the arrival tests come with the threat of a 10 day quarantine if you test positive plus at a 0.2% positivity rate, 99.8% of these tests are wasting valuable tests that residents could use instead - considering there is a shortage of tests in Canada right now.

@ShannonTarran14 @MelissaLantsman Yep, you don't pay anything for the arrival test. But for Canadians living close to the border or Americans who need to go north frequently, the choices before the trip are to get a PCR that might be available and might come back in time or pay $150+ per person for a rapid test.

The government wasted two short-supply tests on my family which could have been used for Canadian residents that actually need it.

@colinb099 @SenatorHousakos for a two-night trip. But that is a significant barrier for family reunification and presents a significant barrier to Canadians outside of Canada returning home. Last I checked, a few hundred bucks is quite a bit of money for most people.

@SenatorHousakos Canada by the time we got the results back, which were obviously negative. If you had told me five years ago, I would have to pay $400 to get some Tim Hortons and show my daughter the wonderful country Canada is, I wouldn't have believed you. Yet here we are...

@SenatorHousakos It's rough paying $400 for testing just to go back to my country of birth. Last time we crossed for a couple of nights, we tested one hour ($400 for two tests) before hitting the border, drove directly to the border, and still got hit with a random COVID test. We had left /1

@CanuckGS Very sad to hear the news. For a small group of devs, you achieved so much. I loved the game, and the fact that it was the only Canadian rules game on the market. Thank you for making a game we can all keep enjoying!
