It is very awkward when you are treating a patient for BPPV (especially someone who has been dizzy, falling, injured from falling, etc for MONTHS) who has seen many providers before you and the patient asks:
“Why has no one looked at this yet?”
🫣
Screen for BPPV!
Excited to be on the 06:15 to Euston tomorrow with @SamuelRanger and Jony Elilnesan for @BSNOtology 2023. Tucked under my arm will be our poster on patterns of vestibular impairment in adult cochlear implant candidates https://t.co/99pb1mxv7u
Excited to be on the way to #BAAconf in Coventry to attempt to sum up ten years of vHIT research and clinical developments in <30 mins. Apologies in advance if I talk at 100mph.
Calling all audiology balance clinical leads. Please could you take 5 mins to fill out this survey on how/when you use vHIT? This will inform a section of a lecture at BAA 2023 on the last ten years of vHIT research and clinical practice in the UK. https://t.co/YqOjdSLHAO Thanks!
It’s been great to see people at first day of #BCIG2023 and chat about the poster we’ve done with @LinorLlw of the North Wales service. Just wish we could work out why these CI users are suddenly going dizzy?
@sharpe_margie@AlecJRoberts@acpivr I’ve never actually seen this, but had the fear of it instilled in us all when being trained by @canedeb and hence never let go of them until a good minute or so has passed!
I keep returning to these graphs by @jburnmurdoch at the @FT and wondering why more British journalism can't be as straightforwardly lucid and illustrative as this. The catastrophe of Tory rule laid bare.
It was an absolute pleasure to discuss all things vertigo with @otolaryngolofox for this primary care podcast. I do hope it’s valuable to clinicians who see the lion’s share of dizziness.
🎉🎙️🎧Podcast Episode out on #Vertigo today!
With Consultant Otolaryngologist Ms Emma Stapleton & Clinical Scientist David Jay. It's a corker!! https://t.co/8jriH0ZOc5 @GPExcellenceGM @otolaryngolofox @DavidJay1982
Brilliant talk at #BAAConf by Dean Metz @thefallguyUK on non-vestibular causes of dizziness. Glad to see we’re already doing similar things at @MFTaudiology but https://t.co/mpDiFPriQG is a new one on me and will be using it with the next older adult with polypharmacy. Thanks!
