We had a fantastic time at the Institute of Physics' Summer Festival at Silverstone yesterday - there was enormous interest from attendees in the work we're doing to bring low-cost, low-#carbon#energy that will displace fossil fuels.
Thanks for having us, @PhysicsNews!

An important day for us here – we have completed in-house sintering of our simulated spent nuclear fuel for WATSS tests!
The simulated fuel will be used to prove the first stage of the WATSS process before hotcell tests with actual spent fuel.
WATSS (‘WAste To Stable Salt') is the reprocessing system we are creating for spent #nuclear fuel, which will reduce high-level waste volumes by over 90%. It will extract the useful transuranic elements, which can be used to create new fuel, and leave the depleted uranium behind as an easily stored low-radioactivity material.
These pictures show WATSS team members Jose P. Zuniga, Ricardo Ortega Vaquero, Connor Smith and James Moffat, who are making great strides in perfecting the technology.
The MoltexFLEX laboratory is supporting its sister company @MoltexEnergy Canada with developing this process.

Fantastic to visit @MoltexFLEX in Warrington to discuss their advanced nuclear technology R&D – and even see 600 degree molten salt in action!
Molten salt reactors could be a safe, cheap source of clean energy for homes and industry alike, developed here in Britain.
This is a great interview: Jim Ward, General Manager of North Shore Mi'kmaq Tribal Council, talks about why the @NSMTC_ has signed up to invest in SMRs, including Moltex technology.
#FirstNation groups are very important to us - which is why we're delighted to be working with them to make our technology a reality.

It was a huge pleasure to meet with Chi again, and great to show her what your young and talented workforce is achieving here in Warrington.

We were hugely pleased to welcome Shadow Minister for Science, Research and Innovation @ChiOnwurah to our lab this week - our great thanks to her for making the time to visit.
It's always a pleasure to show people the work we're doing to bring low-cost, low carbon energy to the UK - and thereby create a massive opportunity for British jobs and exports.

Our CEO @DavidL_Moltex was very pleased to take part in the @energygovuk Nuclear Hackathon yesterday.
It was really encouraging to see Secretary of State @ClaireCoutinho and @AndrewBowie_MP reaffirming the government's commitment on speeding up the delivery of #nuclear#energy in the UK - and working together with the industry to achieve this.
We can turn the country into #NetZero powerhouse - let's make it happen!

MoltexFLEX's @TristramDenton was privileged to appear on the Insider's Guide to Energy podcast to talk about the vital contribution that advanced #nuclear technology will make in the race to #NetZero! Our huge thanks to host @Energy4Chris and the IGTE team for making this happen!

6/6 Manufacturing 200MWe SMR’s like we do passenger aeroplanes (~1,400/year) would decarbonize global electricity in dozen years or so (most might be used to clean up heat which is half of our energy use). Add #RE, efficiency and trad. nuclear, and we are stopping #climatechange!
