I finally found a moment to do something long overdue: rebuild my personal website, https://t.co/vSlrQM0Y8C.
And yes, it includes a chess blog. As users get increasingly fed up with AI slop, I believe blogs are going to make a comeback. More on that later 😉
GM Magnus Carlsen won the inaugural 2026 ASEAN E-Sports Chess Cup on June 13 and the $8,500 first prize. After finishing at the top of Group A, he went on to defeat GM Andrey Esipenko 2-1 in the Championship Final.

@emiliacastelao@PHChess I want to believe the “Historical Committee” is keeping them in custody, but I don’t see what that would be necessary when there is plenty of room in the Lausanne office. AFAIK, an inventory was never made public, and that’s concerning.
I wonder if there is an inventory of collected items, and where they currently are, because the rumor in Lausanne is that most ended up in private hands.
A centenary is also a great occasion to look back and cherish the memories and the history of our institution. With that purpose, FIDE is currently making an effort to rebuild its historical archives, gathering documents and memorabilia.
