The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to sign French guard Rayan Rupert on a two-way NBA deal, sources tell ESPN. Rupert, a second-round pick in 2023, split last season in Memphis and Portland.
At his introductory presser, Blazers head coach Micah Nori attacked questions with a fast-talking passion and Southern twang, befitting of his reputation as the NBA's Ted Lasso.

Just in: The Portland Trail Blazers are hiring Minnesota Timberwolves lead assistant Micah Nori as the franchise's next head coach, sources tell ESPN. After digging through Chris Jent's resume and reputation around the league, I think he is a great candidate for a head coaching position. I am admittedly more familiar with Micah Nori, but I would be fine with Jent in Portland.
At least this coaching search isn't quite as unserious as the one where Neil Olshey pretended to interview Becky Hammon as a PR makeup call for Chauncey's allegations and then tried to pin the hire on Dame when people got mad about it.
Congratulations to Coach Splitter. He did a fantastic job at the helm in Portland, given the circumstances, and really earned this opportunity.
Now if the Trail Blazers hire Micah Nori as the next head coach, I will be content with the results of their search.
BREAKING: The Chicago Bulls are finalizing the hire of Portland Trail Blazers interim Tiago Splitter as the franchise's new head coach, sources tell ESPN. Splitter succeeds Billy Donovan as the Bulls' coach after stepping into the head job and excelling in Portland last season.

Nori, Blazers interim coach Tiago Splitter and LA Clippers assistant coach Jeff Van Gundy are the known finalists.
Portland Trail Blazers have requested permission to meet with Los Angeles Clippers assistant Jeff Van Gundy as he has emerged as one of the finalists for their head coach opening, league sources tell me.
