@VolinBluegrass@jonah_wendt Ditto here. I had hoped Trump was different, but at the next election I will vote Democrat, for the first time in my life. I wanted change and not Bush Jr. 2.0.
@EarthsContagion@jonah_wendt Exactly. I wish Israel well, as I wish Indonesia well or any other country. But it doesn't deserve any special treatment. Simple as that.
@VladTheInflator I saw the same thing during jury duty, where the DA went after a regular person for poking a police officer. I think poking a police officer is wrong, but it isn't assault, or at least it shouldn't be. I asked if we had run out of real criminals. I wasn't selected.
@ImpactSRLLC@alphafox Of course. The job of HR is to protect the company—that is it. They sell it as "being there for the employee," which is true, but only to identify issues that could hurt the company.
@Glenn_Diesen General Keith Kellogg reminds me of the book The Banality of Evil. A bureaucrat using innocent-sounding bureaucratic words to push for evil means—in this case using Ukraine as cannon fodder for US neocon goals.
@Navsteva Trump sold himself as a peacemaker and is actually just a worse version of Bush junior. I didn't think that was possible, but I stand corrected.
@ekwufinance The neocon bloc in our country (both parties) has no endgame beyond hoping to restore a hegemonic world. It makes sense from their perspective—if they're reasonable, they lose; if they try, they might just succeed, even if the odds are 1% at best.
And all of us Americans suffer.
@WeTheBrandon Except for Iran, this war is existential. For us, it is optional. And Iran has the support of Russia and China. If I had to bet (and I don't bet), I would bet on us not winning (Iran prevailing).
🇨🇳🇺🇸 "China has been here for 5,000 years. Most of the time, there was no United States, and we survived. And if the United States wants to bully China, we will deal with the situation without the United States, and we expect to survive for another 5,000 years."

Friendly reminder.
@RealRickRule I used to be a Business Unit CFO, and every quarter I had to sign SOX statements—under criminal penalty—certifying that everything was accurate. Plus, we were subject to constant audits. But apparently, when it comes to the government, a verbal "trust me" is all that's required.
@GodRulesIRL With the drip-drop disclosure of non-Earth intelligent life, the government is just trying to distract us. If you want to disclose, disclose. If not, shut up.
When that day comes, wake me.
Until then, I don't care.
@wmiddelkoop If you analyze our behavior for the last 250 years, contracts signed by us are not worth the paper it is written on starting from the Native Indians.
We only respect strength. That is why North Korea has not been attacked, but Iran has. China is smart.
@Quwlilkgi@Amb_Ulyanov Russia is already the most sanctioned country in the world and in history. And Russia is still standing strong.
But the folks in Washington are living in an alternative reality: it is still the 1990s, and the US is the only game in town.
