For more than two decades, the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE) has guided global immunization strategies, informed @WHO recommendations, ultimately protecting millions of lives thanks to the the power of safe and effective vaccines.
At a time when misinformation on vaccines spreads faster than viruses and trust in institutions and science is being tested; independence, transparency, research and evidence are more important than ever.
I thank the experts from around the world representing SAGE for lending their expertise, and @WHO looks forward to receiving and reviewing SAGE's latest policy recommendations this week.

I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Associate Editor-2026 CDC Yellow Book (Health Information for International Travel) at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention!
@lisabodnar Most manuscript software (eg ManuscriptCentral) has the Editor score each review numerically. Any Editor assigning reviewers in the future gets a look at that reviewers score history.
@lisabodnar Move on. Inappropriate reviews happen. That is why usually 3 reviews for full length papers. You are free to rebut or revise for all substantive comments. Editors can’t control reviewer comments but try to trust a fair aggregate decision in the end.
@EricTopol@CDCMMWR Still seems to indicate that assuming 2 or more prior monovalent doses, doesn’t matter much whether Bivalent is at 6 months vs 2 months.
Terrible news from Peru where a coup a la Fujimori is being announced.
This is unacceptable: Peruvians and the international community can't tolerate a return to a dictatorship.
@eClinicalMed Robust evidence-based 2022 Guidelines from PAHO several years in the making not considered by authors. Colonialist analysis with no authors experienced in CHIK clinical research. https://t.co/XDhcksZTlb
800 passengers on the Majestic Princess have COVID. You can’t pack 4600 passengers on a boat during a pandemic and expect this not to happen. Yes, it’s still the pandemic. https://t.co/8avMgYnlOR
As @UAB_ID Dr. David Freedman details, there is a lot we still don't know about #SARSCoV2 & #travel risks when it comes to airplanes
