@SzymonPobiega Entirely true, this is why the "at any given time" part of the CAP theorem is crucial. I think PACELC is probably a better way of thinking about it, but didn't really have time to get into that during the talk.

@danielmarbach@randyshoup Sometimes the answer is "yes": once fast to get it out the door, and again after you find the market fit/investment/sales motion/etc. I unfortunately missed Randy's talk, but I suspect his point was more nuanced than "always do it right". :)
