At some point this city has to figure out/better equip itself to deal with winter weather more efficiently and quickly. Missing a week of school for 6 inches of snow just can’t happen. NYC got over a foot and missed one day. These storms aren’t rare anymore.

Without getting into some socioeconomic discussion ... the private schools are practicing. I bet some of those kids live in the same neighborhoods as JCPS kids who aren't practicing.

My point: Don't make a blanket "You can't practice" declaration. Some teams might say no. Some kids might not can make it. But for the ones who can, let them play.
