@nickpstone News aggregators have for a long time displayed news without the advertising that these sites need to stay afloat. Not saying they should, just thinking in a fair playing field, why not give a few bucks back to good journalists. Might also upset the hierarchy. 🤷‍♂️

Why can't news sites register with search engines and negotiate a Pay Per Click (#PPC) basis so they get paid by #google for quality #news. Wouldn't that something like that help solve the issue between Google and #mediaoutlets ?
