Some politicians in Washington have convinced themselves that they are “leaders,” and NOT elected representatives.

The “leaders” have made a habit of lecturing their constituents and acting as if they know better than you.

Case in point, this border security bill coming out of the Senate. It doesn’t secure the border and yet we’re already hearing from “leaders” in Washington about how they know better.

I made a commitment to my district, I listen to the voters who entrusted me with their voice, and it’s my responsibility to influence and create law that respects the will of Congressional District 38.

Our district has been significantly impacted by the flow of illegal immigration, drugs, and crime as a result of Biden’s dereliction of duty in securing the American homeland.

When I sit down and listen to the people of our district what they tell me over and over again is that we must secure this border.

Trump’s policies did that.
H.R. 2 will do that.

So why are we entertaining a Senate proposal that fails to address the core problem at our border?

Why would we entertain a border bill that sends more foreign aid to Ukraine?

Why would we entertain a border bill that ignores the will of the people?

I was elected to represent Houston in Washington. I was not elected to ignore the will of my voters and then lecture them on the merits of another beltway solution to their needs.

Biden won’t secure the border, but Trump will. It’s one of the many reasons why I endorsed him for President in November of 2022.
