Here's my understanding about the Ronel Blanco situation.

He used rosin on his non-throwing hand because of sweat. Rosin is permissible but can't be on the glove, uniform or non-throwing hand.

The rosin mixed with sweat made it super sticky and that's what got on and inside his glove.

Blanco wasn't being sketchy, he thought he could use rosin which has been allowed before.

So his suspension should be announced today out of technicality. He will appeal.

The Astros will be down to 25 players for 10 games.

What's interesting is that the umps checked his glove earlier and saw no issue. They had an issue before he pitched in the 4th. And they didn't even check his hand.

Espada also asked if he could switch his glove and they refused.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto was able to switch his glove a few days ago.
