Birmingham:
Reform look to have won the most seats on the third-highest vote share, although Labour, Reform and the Greens were all extremely close in vote share,
within 1.2 percentage points.
Reform's vote was concentrated in Birmingham's outer ring (north, east and south-west), while Greens were more spread out, strongest in inner-south wards like Bournbrook & Selly Park (65%) and Druids Heath & Monyhull (64%).
Reform's concentrated support translated more efficiently into seats. They won 23 seats from 17 wards, often picking up both seats in 2-seat wards where they had 35%+ of the vote. Greens won 19 seats from 14 wards - a strong share but spread out and harder to convert under FPTP
Great to see Ratcliff Passage is now fully open!
Providing direct access from Chamberlain Square to the @BMusic_Ltd Town Hall @WMmetro tram stop on Paradise Street, this stunning new piece of public realm is the perfect setting for Three Chamberlain Square and the wider Paradise estate.
The space is also getting ready for the return of the restored James Watt and Joseph Priestley statues later this summer: https://t.co/oveIJxJqpt

Edgbaston pictured in 1938 when it was mainly surrounded by open land. It hosted four Tests between 1902 and 1929 but had to wait until 1957 before it became a regular fixture on the international calendar
We've released new images of Birmingham Curzon Street showcasing the public spaces around the station.
The latest designs feature a tree-lined promenade with landscaped terraces 🌳, improved cycling and walking connections 🚲, and a second entrance giving direct access to Digbeth and the east side of Birmingham.

A landmark moment at Birmingham Curzon Street. 🏗️
Engineers have completed all 2,011 concrete piles that will form the foundations of the new station — each one sunk up to 24 metres into the ground.
The team also excavated 47,000 cubic metres of material to create a level base for the station.
With the piling now complete, attention turns to preparing the way for the Digbeth extension to the West Midlands Metro and the completion of the remaining foundation works.
