@joerussotweets@CLPFILM They did not take down SuperGirl. DC showed Superman fans a character that Superman found dishonerable and annoying. Then they made a movie for Gen Z and Gen Alpha girls who don't give a hoot about Superhero movies. And Not the Odyssey could have been a 9.5, but ended up a 7.
@HannahDCox No it is not. It makes up about .5% of the vote in every election. It is like shop lifting. Stores only catch about 15% of it. They call it Shrinkage to skirt the issue of THEFT. With mail in voting (no chain of custody), the fraud is massive.
@verbalriotshow The problem is that 98% of it fails miserably. The M-SHE-U killed a money printing press. Charlies Angels, Ghost Busters, Star Wars, Star Trek, Wheel of Time, The Witcher, Indiana Jones, Rings of Power, Cowboy Bebop... have all been degraded to the point of fan apathy.
@FormerlyCBM No, it is not better made, but then Nolan's Odyssey is no Lord of the Rings either. I'm questioning using IMAX cameras as nothing seems big. IMAX was used better in Top Gun Maverick than in this movie.
@BlackMajikMan90 It's still $250M or so from breaking even. Needs a worldwide box office of like $800M to recoup their $400M investment. I think it makes money, but still has a ways to go.
@Fame_0007 Now, I think it will make money at the box office, but still a long way away from the $750-$850M it needs to break even. It has made back about half it's production budget. Nobody invests $400M to break even.
@Fame_0007 Basically a cameo. Leftists are now mad that she didn't have a larger role, but that was reserved for Ellen Paige to play the GREATES WARRIOR IN HISTORY. LOL
@holland_tom Nobody said Nolan would not turn out a technically well made film. But it is not THE ODYSSEY. I will likely see the film, but based on reviewers that are not corporate chuds, I doubt it will replace LOTR as the best epic film I have seen.
@Fame_0007 Everyone defending the casting in this Greek Tradgedy are hypocrites. They are the same people, including Nyong'o, that spoke at length on how important being culturally faithful to the source material was in Wakanda Forever, Moana...
@amelia_tweetz Why it feels worse now is that it is cumulative. It is like Herpes, and never goes away. It keeps compounding. And you absorb it right up until you can't and that is the point at which you recognize you feel bad. This is a basis for Marginal Value Theory.
@amelia_tweetz Second, Congress spent like drunken sailors during COVID so there was a step up in the money supply of $7T (the $11T setup up includes $4T of M2 converted to M1). The FED used to have a 0% inflation target, but 2012 they raised it to 2% to allow the government to borrow cheaper.
