Many will be critical of Friday Night is Music Night airing on @BBCRadio3, but what a joy to hear music of a lighter genre highlighting the versatility of the @BBCCO enhanced by a talented technical team allowing intricate orchestrations to be captured so superbly! Thank you!
@BBCRadio3 Just listening to yesterday’s spirited Evensong from @KingsCollegeLon without any peak distortion at all. Such a pity that last week’s splendid broadcast from Winchester was marred by peak distortion, especially in the Gloria of the Howells- even on the repeat.
Despite any misgivings I might personally have in relation to
BBCRadio 3, I can’t understand why comments were fired in the first place at the listener below!?

@davidhconductor@StPaulsLondon@BBCRadio3 I must admit that the Barry
Rose balance of ChoralEvensong when at St. Paul’s and elsewhere are
much more to my liking.
There might be a few who might be grateful of a reminder of #Compline broadcast on @BBCRadio3 on a Monday. Last week’s liturgy was sung by #SingledeOro under the direction of @PatrickAllies.
@ClassicFM What an illuminating and moving programme hosted by #MoiraStuart on Sunday evening featuring @Keir_Starmer as not only a proficient musician himself but moreover the way he emphasised the significance of music in everyday life! Available on Catch Up.
@BBCRadio3 Very sneaky completing the excellent daytime thematic sequence marking #ShakespeareDay with organ music by John Bull bearing in mind its transmission day of a Wednesday, normally reserved for #ChoralEvensong.
@BBCRadio3 Hearing Rachmaninov’s First Symphony on tonight’s #Prom took me back to my youth when I would watch #Panorama not necessarily for its content but more to hear the fanfare at the beginning of the final movement played with great vigour by the superb @BBCPhilharmonic.
@andrewCDmcg@bbcproms@annalapwood@BBCRadio3 As ever, the presentation was superb, but with respect, had I not been home late, I would have switched off as this was obviously a superb visual concert, but the music alone was not successful in simply holding a radio audience- even with good equipment.
@BBCRadio3, as much as schedule changes are a necessity during the Proms’ Season, the time of 1.00 pm for the repeat of #ChoralEvensong seems bizarre. Certainly a promotion for #BBCSounds.
@AJPHenderson@StonyhurstMusic@BBCRadio4 I still regret that OUP found it necessary to adapt it!! I just wish I’d written more miniatures, but the MOT has rather overshadowed my limited output!
