@twistartups@alex@Jason Bullish. The main question is whether or not the apps unlock new capabilities for people or makes them more productive. The last 10 years have shown ar/vr can’t be sustained on gaming and entertainment alone, practical applications will be critical.
@ryanbrewer Wow the sentiment on these is so universally negative. I think they’re viable with the right productivity focused apps. Helping homeowners winterize a hose bib. Heads up displays for surgeons.
Anyone who thinks these are for gaming/entertainment isn’t thinking big enough.
@moseskagan I wholeheartedly agree with the one addition of “get paid to solve problems, largely by inventing new technologies that make us more productive”
Wealth isn’t accumulating fiat currency, it’s our ability to produce goods and services that people want.
@Jason@TheRideshareGuy Agreed. I think you can expect that .75 per mile to go down as utilization spreads the fixed costs (insurance, accounting depreciation to some extent) over 8-12 hours driving per day. Point to point transport demand is massive at $10 a ride.
Our world is built by those who install soffits and know how many fixtures the UPC says you can have on a bathroom wet vent. Proud to serve those people.
