A Nashville jury finds 48-year-old Anthony Lewis guilty of raping a man in 2019 after DNA evidence located in the Medical Legal Exam performed on the victim the night of the offense was linked to Lewis. Lewis will be sentenced to 8 - 12 years at 100%. @TNDAGC@MNPDNashville

Our Division III Criminal Court team secured a GUILTY verdict this week against 61-year-old Randy Anderson for stealing packages off a Nashville porch last April. As a career criminal, Anderson faces 15 years, the manner of punishment to be determined by a Judge next month.

A Nashville jury found 28-year-old Redear Haji guilty yesterday of the 2022 murder of Amanda McComb. Nashville Assistant District Attorney Jan Norman showed how Haji opened fire on McComb as she fled his home with a backpack of drugs. Haji will sentenced next month. @TNDAGC

Testimony from the Grave helped convict 28-year-old Leronte Burks of attempted murder. Testimony obtained during a pre-lim hearing in 2021 from a now-deceased witness was played for the jury by Prosecutor Jan Norman.

Justice for the family of Terece Patterson. A Nashville jury found James Harris GUILTY of killing him during a 2023 fight. Harris unsuccessfully represented himself during trial. With this being his 2nd violent crime conviction, he could get life in prison at sentencing.
While these linemen were out restoring power during Nashville’s recent ice storm, their personal vehicles were being burglarized.
This week, ADA Jenny Charles made sure the suspect’s case got bound over to the Grand Jury, saying it was a joy to help these ice storm heroes.

Remember last October, when a 59-year-old Nashville man was found guilty on more than 20 counts of child rape and similar offenses?
Today, our Crimes Against Children Prosecution Team secured a sentence against him of 112 years.
