I'm self employed.
I've just worked out that I have to charge my customers over £900 per week in order to take home the equivalent yearly wage of someone on the new national minimum wage.
So I need to charge over £1,000 per week to be £100 better off than a minimum wage earner.
I have 12 individual costs associated with running my one man band business. No holiday pay. No money if I'm off work due to illness or anything else.
And this doesn't even take into consideration all the time spent on visiting new customers, pricing work, producing quotes etc, some of which is a complete waste of time when you don't get the work. All time that can't be charged for.
This is why, for many self employed people, it's just not worth it any more.
I've been self employed for 30 years and it's never been this bad.
Rachel Reeves is raking in millions in tax whilst motorists suffer.
Why won’t she lighten the load?
Scrap her increase in fuel duty.
Halve VAT at the pumps - now.
Manchester City Insiders privately believe that the "115 Charges" verdict has been delayed due to potential consequences costing the Premier League £2.5bn consequently.
The theory is that City holds a "kill switch":
1. If City gets kicked out, stars like Haaland and Guardiola leave.
2. Without them, TV channels allegedly have the right to cancel their contracts.
3. This would instantly cost the Premier League £2.5 billion.
Clubs are getting fined and point deductions instantly but we are still waiting for Manchester City.
I had absolutely no idea what to expect...
But it certainly wasn't that!🤯
