Chelsea had the chance to sign Kvaratskhelia when he was at Napoli. They passed. Then the player most similar to him in world football right now ,Mika Godts became available. Chelsea passed again. PSG are about to get him instead.

That's two windows, two similar profiles, two missed opportunities. That one stings.
Because Godts isn't just a good player. He's the kind of talent that comes around once every few years.
17 goals. 13 assists. 30 goal contributions in a single Eredivisie season at 21 years old.

Champions League experience already. Belgium international. And a style of play that mirrors Kvaratskhelia so closely it's almost uncomfortable to think about what could have been.
The direct dribbling. The fearlessness in 1v1 situations. The ability to create something from nothing in tight spaces. The clinical output that separates the elite from the very good.

PSG recognised it. And are about to pay €60m without hesitation. Chelsea is watching it happen..

The frustrating part isn't just missing Godts specifically. It's the pattern. Chelsea have consistently identified elite wide talent and then hesitated at the moment that matters. Kvaratskhelia went from Napoli to PSG and became one of Europe's best. Godts goes to PSG and will likely do the same.

At some point hesitation stops being caution and starts being negligence.
