π¨ | BREAKING: ESPN has released new details of what went on in the CFP Committee Room the night that FSU's Playoff bid was stolen...
CFP Executive Director Bill Hancock explained that to vote, each committee member casts votes individually on a laptop. Hancock is in sole charge of tallying up the votes, & he's chosen to keep all individual ballots private π€
In the event of a close vote or tie, committee members will debate amongst themselves in order to determine which team should be higher.
Here's where it gets WEIRD...
ποΈ | NC State AD Boo Corrigan: "The [committee] voted 6 to 8 times on #4 on Saturday Night."
At this point, the committee had narrowed down #4 to either Alabama or Florida State. But no official decision was made, & the committee members went to bed.
On Sunday Morning, the committee met again, & Alabama was given the #4 spot after just a few rounds of voting...
So what changed overnight behind the scenes to make the committee drop FSU? We may never know.
