@CoffeeBlackMD Bless the nurse that will get to clean that up when it finally happens!
I once worked with a trauma surgeon that had no patience for any of that and would give SQ neostigmine until feculent rivers flowed. Do not miss those days.
@HjgTweet We paid cash for most things, bc our insurance sucked so hard. Over $30K/yr for a family of 3, and an $8K deductible. I got an MRI for $450 cash that would have run me $2K with insurance; cash gets a steep discount. We ditched insurance, now use a health share for bigger things.
@CoffeeBlackMD I don’t eat candy much, but after someone stashed them in the drawer at the nurse’s station, I became a huge fan after compulsively eating waaaay too many, had to stop myself from buying entire bags at half price after Halloween. Let me know if you try one what you think.
I want to introduce you to Steve. He’s 83. His wife died a few months ago and he comes to this lodge in Spring Mill, Indiana and draws. He taught art in Terre Haute, IN his whole life. He also did courtroom sketches in court cases. In the comments I’ll share some pics from his sketchbook. He was excited when I said I was going to share his sketches with the world.
@MCCCANM Wow…seeing that from up high is beautiful (and intimidating) - I can’t imagine hail damage going airplane speed in the sky! 😳 ‘Tis the season in Kansas, we’re getting rocked with the summer storms right now, as I’m sure a lot of places are.
@MCCCANM Slideshow with pics/videos, maybe sourcing from friends and family for a larger selection. At a family member’s celebration of life, we had his favorite dessert, which was just a super sweet touch.
@BuzzPatterson I love little airports - BGR and PWM are my favorites, walk right in and be at the gate within minutes. ICT is also super easy to navigate, and fast. The new MCI is glorious - park right across the street from the terminal, through security in 15 minutes, and 👍🏻 food choices.
@sometherapist Ha - I was that kid! My dad used to “do you want to” all the time, until in my tween years I finally responded with “no, I don’t WANT to, but I will if you’re asking.” 🤷🏼♀️ I remember hoping he didn’t think I was being sassy and get angry, but he took it well and started ASKING.
@ItsGoneAwry I don’t want to assume you haven’t (esp since you’ve done pretty strong meds), but have you tried Benadryl by chance? Our old dog fuh-reaked around 🌩️ & 🎆 - we tried several things, and then one night I gave him a big dose of Benadryl and he snored the night away. Bless.
@MCCCANM Hard agree with #1. 0500 sucks as a travel time for obvious reasons, but it has served us well for years, especially considering our layovers to GCM are only an hour (often less in ATL!). Worth it to be tired to hopefully avoid being stuck somewhere.
@MCCCANM We normally go through ATL or CLT, so this was new to me - there were storms on the way down and a week later on the way back! I also usually do most travel in winter, so something I’m not used to in terms of air travel.
