@tartanmartian1 @Terry_Rudden @MENnewsdesk I would ask the tutors to be brutally honest and assess whether the current students are being equipped to go into the workplace with a degree that compares with, say, 2 years ago. If the answer is ‘no’, something must be done.

@Terry_Rudden @MENnewsdesk I have a 21 yr old Fine Art student and a 19 yr old BioChem student. Both have have no access to studio/labs/facilities/accom yet they’re paying full fees. I have to speak out. They didn’t even return in Sept when Freshers were being targeted. At some point we HAVE to be heard

@Terry_Rudden @MENnewsdesk All they did was blame students for the high covid rates and treated them so poorly when they were forced to isolate. There’s no discussion about the quality of online tuition or value for money. We chose uni for the facilities, the tutors, the social scene and that’s all gone.

@charlotte2153 Are you supporting uni students who seem to be ignored in EVERY discussion re education? Online tuition does not make a degree. Studios, labs, libraries, student union... all facilities are unavailable. How can they be expected to pay £9,250??

@MayorofGM Can you support uni students who are paying for an education they’re not getting? They chose their uni for the facilities. Online tuition falls so far short of the degree they signed up for. And accom payments are due but they’re legally unable to move back? Help?

@BBCBreaking Uni students cannot be expected to pay for online tuition when they chose their uni for its FACILITIES. No lab access, no studio access, it’s not the degree they signed up for. And the accommodation they’re unable to access is just more money down the drain!!

@AndyBurnhamGM How are people being allowed to wander around the Trafford Centre without masks if we are serious about driving Covid numbers down? There’s no enforcement. They’re putting those who work and shop there at risk. Its the basics and it’s going unchecked. Crazy!

@CaxtonFX my daughter is in Budapest. She paid for a hostel and was charged in HUF. She has € &£ on her card but no HUF. It now shows a neg HUF balance on her dashboard but the transaction is still pending. Will this balance be deducted from € OR £ already loaded on her card?
