I was craving KFC so I bought 3 packs because why not 🤷♀️
My first time trying the Krusher and the sugar, omg… decided to try their Jollof too, hm 🙆♀️ it’s a no-no-no.
Overall, I’ve satisfied my cravings.
Set in a small village, the story follows a young boy whose terrible mistake leads to the mysterious disappearance of a child. As the years pass, guilt, secrets, and fear continue to haunt him while the truth threatens to come to light.
When my parents found my pregnancy test, my mother hurled my backpack out onto the front lawn, and my father told me that as of that night, I was dead to them. Twenty years later, I drove back to that exact same driveway just to look them in the eye… but the girl who opened the front door looked so much like me that all the air rushed out of my lungs.
I was sixteen and a sophomore in high school when my life split right down the middle. I still remember my hands trembling in the girls’ restroom, glaring at the two pink lines on a cheap drugstore test I’d bought in secret. I had no idea what to do. I didn’t know who to turn to. I couldn’t even figure out how I was supposed to breathe the next morning. But in a tiny town in rural Alabama, secrets have an incredibly short shelf life. By the time I walked through our front door, everybody already knew: a nosy neighbor, the cashier at the local market, the Sunday school teacher… and, worst of all, my parents.
Last month I got divorced.
And nobody warned me about the empty space.__
11 years.
1 kid.
A cat that still waits by the door.
A flat full of half-finished conversations and laundry that never quite matched.
It didn’t end with slammed doors.
It ended with us lying in the same bed,
backs turned,
both pretending to sleep while the silence grew louder than any fight.
Counselling didn’t save it.
“We’ll figure it out later” didn’t save it.
We were simply… finished.
We signed the papers on a Tuesday.
The solicitor smiled like it was just another form.
We nodded. Polite. Distant.
