@jskdn @NewsHour @WmBrangham Now there’s a felony on my record. Young and in need of guidance I have another meeting with the law at age 17. But now I’m seen as a dangerous criminal with a history.

Our youth need mentors. They need advocates to help navigate through the criminal justice system.

@jskdn @NewsHour @WmBrangham At the age of 14 I was arrested for a fight with my brother. A family dispute that law enforcement had no place in. I was in juvenile detention for months without access to a phone. The only way I was told I’d get out was by signing a deal that charged me with aggravated assault.
