We’ve really enjoyed seeing the video messages from nursing
colleagues up and down the country and we are really sorry that our choice of
delivery caused offence. Upsetting anyone was the last thing we wanted to do. 2/2
We want to offer a wholehearted apology to those we offended
with a video we posted on Twitter at the weekend.
The video was intended as a show of our commitment as Livewell Southwest nurses to continue to work hard and care for
people as we fight Coronavirus. 1/2
So proud of my unit year on year we improve our productivity. More patients operated on, great patient experience. Dedicated caring professional staff. Well done everyone
@MikeBak75752610@edge_edge1@DayTheatre @KB573 @AnnJamesNHS@lenny_byrne Hi Mike, I am really sorry for this. Would your wife like to make contact with one of our PALS colleagues please, so they can look into this with our surgical team? Details of how to contact here: https://t.co/GZsT73GgXE
Student nurses are the NHS’s life blood, treat them with respect, teach them what you know, give them the confidence to become the nurses you would want to look after your loved ones. Students nurses embrace every placement, this is where you hone your trade.
Why is this happening to students? We should be nurturing them so they become the caring nurses we so desperately need in the workforce, this behaviour needs to be reported to senior management if you see it #mentorship#bullyingpreventionmonth
Leadership is not about hierarchy, it’s about compassion and support of the amazing teams who care. Give them support, confidence and guidance to help improve services for our patients and the NHS will thrive. A Top down approach will not improve our NHS. #patientsafety#teamwork
"A hierarchical structure gets in the way. To overcome this requires a different leadership style to the one that feeds a hierarchy – one that is collective, collaborative and, above all, compassionate." #SundayInspiration
Compassionate leadership is the only way forward for innovation and sustained change. Your teams are the jewel in the NHS crown, work with them, value and support them and they will help develop sustained services for the Future NHS

An exciting opportunity has come up for a registernurse/ODP to come and work in Tavistock Hospital Theatre. It’s a great place to work, great team, great support and fun. The job is on NHS jobs Ref 832-2019-NM-5531.
Our clinical information board this month produced by Jenny Base scrub nurse. I wonder who’s going to win this quiz!! #team working #continuing professional development #wellbeing
Our team’s drive is patient’s safety and experience. We have an environment of respect, support and every member of staff is valued and their ideas help to develop our service. They have passion and drive and I respect and support everyone of them. #innovation#patientsafety
