The Standard for Cross-Chain Intents is DeFi’s first standard established to power the interoperable future ✨

Across and @Uniswap teamed up to propose a unified standard for all cross-chain intents-based systems. But why? 👇

Intents have proven to be the winning solution to the cross-chain interop problem, but every intents-based system operates within its own silo.

The standard for cross-chain intents proposes an alternative:
1. Users go to their application of choice
2. Sign a cross-chain order
3. The order follows one standard set of rules
4. Applications are not siloed, rather they use a shared filler (relayer) set

This benefits applications, fillers, and end users:
🏦 Protocols are able to route orders through a wider, more capital-efficient network
👷 Fillers then have a lower entry barrier, lower costs, and more order flow
🌉 Users can enjoy faster fills and lower costs

Intents have accelerated cross-chain interoperability by leveraging third parties to fulfill users’ needs. The Standard for Cross-Chain Intents marks another push forward for the ecosystem by allowing independent systems to interoperate through an established framework.
