🔊 Introducing Safenet Aegis: the first production-ready and fee-generating release of Safenet, secured by $SAFE.

Safenet is a decentralized security protocol for self-custody.

💲 A user submits a transaction to Safenet for a small fee.

👓 Sentinels @OpenCover, @BlockSecTeam, @candidelabs, and @IntentGuard check every transaction and are accountable for their verdicts.

✅ Validators @gnosis_, @greenfield_cap, @SafeLabs_, and Core Contributors attest the verdict onchain.

💂 A formally verified Safenet Guard can enforce the attestation, back on the user @safe , defending against threats.

Safenet is live on @ethereum @arbitrum and @gnosischain and is coming soon to @SafeLabs_ multisigs.

■ Changes in Safenet Validator Set:

In the transition from beta to Safenet Aegis- @RockawayX and @bcap validators are no longer active.

What does this mean?
All stakers that delegated to the validators will not receive rewards according to the rewards rules.

Action needed:
Please double check your Safenet stake. If you have delegated to these 2 validators, please consider re-delegating to another validator.

Check your stake at any of the staking interfaces: https://t.co/E8uTXNcUSR

[Gnosis @gnosis_]

With $2 billion lost to threat actors so far this year, defences need to evolve as fast as the attackers.

Safenet is an important step forward, and Gnosis is proud to be one of the validators.

Now live on @GnosisChain.

@candidelabs “What will this do?” → “Should this happen?”

That’s the gap Safenet closes. Thanks for closing it with us, Candide.

[Safe.eth @safe]

@tw_tter Safe + net. We’ll let you take credit for the name 😄🛡️

[Candide @candidelabs]

1/3 Signing a Safe transaction has always been a lonely moment.

Clear signing and simulation show you what a tx will do. Whether it should happen is a judgment call, and until now the signer made it alone.

Safenet Aegis adds independent reviewers.

[OpenCover @OpenCover]

🛡️ Selected as a Sentinel for Safenet Aegis, alongside leading security and risk assessment teams.

OpenCover is helping bring transaction cover into @safe, with more to come.

Safenet Aegis is now live on @ethereum, @arbitrum, and @gnosischain.

ELI5: what is safenet?

The biggest losses in crypto rarely come from broken cryptography. They come from signing the wrong thing.

Safenet makes not signing the wrong thing a whole lot easier. Like a... safety net, I guess?

[rahul rumalla @rsquare]

In an age where everyone’s building for defi, protocols, stablecoins and RWAs, we at @safe pushed for building a Security Protocol.

This is needed now more than ever. For the entire industry.

And I’m even more excited to see that a security focused protocol is secured by $SAFE

We’re on a mission to make self custody easy and secure. Here since 7 years and here for 7 more.

[Gnosis Chain @gnosischain]

Safenet Aegis is now live on Gnosis Chain.

Every transaction sent through Safenet is checked, every verdict is attested onchain and a formally verified Guard enforces it.

Safe.

[tschubotz.eth @tschubotz]

Does this tx do what you intended?

A simple question, often hard to answer.

Transaction checkers exist, but they are single points of failure.
And even if the checks are made, they are often just UI warnings, without actual enforcement.

That's why we are building Safenet.

[Safe.eth @safe]

@rsquare Everyone’s building new rails.

Someone has to secure them. Secured by $SAFE
