Brigitte Gabriel didn’t just read about what radical Islam does to people. She lived through it. She was a Christian girl in Lebanon when the Islamists and their backers turned the country into a slaughterhouse. Churches burned. Christians killed or thrown out of their homes. Whole communities destroyed. Lebanon was the warning sign. Most of the West looked the other way. We Israelis know exactly what she means. We saw the same thing happen here on October 7th. She’s American now and she keeps speaking out so the same disaster doesn’t hit again. Right now she’s shocked by what Trump just did. He lifted the sanctions on Turkey. No conditions. No explanation. Turkey is one of the main supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and a safe place for Hamas to operate from. This is what she wrote: “SHOCKING!! Trump just lifted sanctions on Turkey, a primary Muslim Brotherhood sponsor and Hamas haven. No conditions. No explanation. ‘You don’t want to sanction FRIENDS’ - Trump You don’t remove leverage on nations bankrolling Islamic terror networks.” She’s right. Turkey under Erdogan is not a friend to Israel or the west. They let Hamas leaders live and work there. They give space and cover to Muslim Brotherhood networks that openly want to destroy the Jewish state and anyone who won’t submit to them. These aren’t friends. These are the same people who butchered our people on October 7th and are still planning the next attack. Removing the sanctions without forcing them to stop helping terrorists isn’t strength. It’s giving up. It tells every country that funds terror that they can just wait it out and America will eventually back off. We lose the pressure we built. It shows there’s no real price for arming groups that want to wipe Israel off the map. Brigitte saw what happened in Lebanon when the world pretended it wasn’t that serious. We saw it again on October 7th. It’s always the same. You give them a little room, they take more, and then the killing starts. Even if someone talks about America First, making it easier for the people who arm Hamas doesn’t protect anyone. It just makes the next massacre more likely. Israel is the one standing between these groups and the rest of the region. When you ease up on their backers, you’re making our survival harder. The West still doesn’t want to learn the lesson. How many more times do we have to watch this before we stop calling these countries our friends and start treating them like the threat they are?
