On behalf of His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama, the Government and the people of Ghana, I wish the team and technical staff every success at the tournament.
Congratulations to our Eastern Regional Hospital on 100 years of service to the people of the Eastern Region and Ghana.
This celebration honours the generations of doctors, nurses, health workers, administrators, and support staff, both past and present, whose dedication and sacrifice have shaped the Hospital’s legacy.
At the launch of the centenary celebration, I announced that the long-awaited new Eastern Regional Hospital project will soon receive renewed attention following directives from His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for contractors to return to site and resume work.
My appreciation goes to Management, Staff, and all stakeholders for their contribution to this remarkable journey
President Mahama set to launch Ghana’s first e-Visa service on Africa Day — Monday May 25, 2026.
Ghana’s warm digital handshake with the world.
Africans will not pay visa fees.
Ghana is certainly open for business & tourism.
Today, I directed a temporary halt to construction works on the China Mall project in Koforidua following the developer’s failure to comply with earlier directives on the construction of proper drainage and culvert systems around the facility.
The decision follows persistent flooding concerns raised by residents and businesses within the area during heavy rains. Despite previous engagements and directives issued last year to address the situation, the drainage concerns remain unresolved.
While the project is expected to contribute positively to trade, employment and investment in the region, it is important that all developments comply with environmental and urban planning regulations to protect lives and property.
I have therefore directed the developers to work closely with the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly and the Department of Urban Roads to ensure that the necessary drainage works are carried out to approved standards before construction resumes.
On my way to Sawla to begin a two-day #ResettingGhana Tour of the Savanna Region. I am looking forward, after the project inspections and commencement of work on new projects, to my interaction with the chiefs, young Ghanaians and people of the region in Damongo on Saturday.
Next stop: Asesewa! 📍
