The 200–300% number is the over-quota rate on protected dairy and poultry, not the tariff American farmers generally pay to sell into Canada. Most qualifying Canada-U.S. trade is tariff-free under the USMCA Trump himself negotiated and signed.

Turning one ugly dairy quota into “Canada has been screwing American workers for years” is bullshit. It’s taking a real trade irritant, blowing it up to the size of the entire bilateral relationship, and hoping nobody checks the fucking details.
