James Cameron: "In Star Wars the good guys are the rebels; they're using asymmetric warfare against a highly organized empire. I think we call those guys terrorists, Mujahideen, Al-Qaeda today."
George Lucas: "When I did it they were Vietcong. That was the whole point."
Lucas confirms that Star Wars is a film about the evils of American imperialism.
I don’t want to hear fake tributes to Dolly Parton from fascist republicans, I’ll never forget them defunding her Imagination Library childhood reading program earlier this year. Spare us the bullshit, we see you.
Betty White’s World War II uniform stands as far more than simple documentation of her military contributions. It functions as a tangible archive of her personal experiences.
Years before she rose to become one of television’s most cherished figures, Betty White set aside her aspirations in Hollywood so she could contribute to the national effort. In 1941, when she was only 19, she enlisted in the American Women’s Voluntary Services after the United States entered World War II.
Her assignment involved motor transport. Day after day she operated a sturdy PX truck, carrying essential goods such as soap, toothpaste, and candy to artillery positions scattered across the California hills.
Once evening arrived, she exchanged her work clothes for evening wear and joined dances intended to lift the spirits of young troops about to leave for overseas duty.
After her death in December 2021, her estate presented the carefully maintained olive-drab AWVS uniform and its accompanying shoulder bag to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. The gift disclosed an extraordinary collection of everyday home-front objects.
Within the bag, museum staff uncovered everyday wartime items that included blank V-mail stationery, gasoline ration coupons, red food tokens, and a makeup compact stamped with the AWVS emblem.
Most moving of all were 29 distinct military insignia pins given to her by individual service members, together with a meticulously kept handwritten roster of their names. These objects preserve a deeply intimate and lasting record of human connection and patriotic feeling during the war.
it’s insane how many videos out there of Palestinians especially children caught murdered by israel. after all, israel holds the record for the most visually recorded warcrimes in modern history, and yet it only gets more powerful and more able to butcher more children.
You cannot negotiate with Donnie the Chump, because the lowlife bottom-feeding maggot “signs agreements in pencil.” Probably a pencil given to him by his little sweet assistant, Natalie Harp. At this juncture, Diaper Donnie can’t even get Iran to negotiate with him. So sad…
🤡🤡🤡
If you murder one man and shout "God is great," they call you a terrorist.
If you murder a million and say "God bless America," they call you a superpower.
Farmers voted for Trump a second time after he fucked them over the first time.
Then they voted for him a third time, and he fucked them over again.
And they will still 100% vote Republican again this November.
Because they never fucking learn.
A few reminders.
1. They almost all voted for Trump.
2. As reported, Trump fucked them throughout 2016-2020
3. They voted for him again.
That's insane. That's the American farmer in 2026.
And no one talks about it. THEY DID THIS TO THEMSELVES.
