Whenever I hear someone say 1/0 = ∞, I think it is important to clarify what mathematics actually says. In standard arithmetic, 1/0 is undefined. Division asks us to find a number that, when multiplied by 0, gives 1. No such number exists.
However, as the denominator gets closer to zero from the positive side, 1 divided by that number becomes larger and larger without bound. This is why infinity appears when we discuss the limit, but infinity is not the value of 1/0.
So, 1/0 = ∞ is not mathematically correct. The correct idea is that 1/x → ∞ as x → 0⁺. The distinction between a value and a limit is small in notation but very important in mathematics.
@AndrewZywiecMD@elonmusk For the sake of the creators and consumers, I disagree with removing it... do wish there was a way to turn it on/off though. No X at work that's for sure
