Can you imagine how powerful Thomas Massie in 2028 could be if a broad coalition including people like Dave Smith, Tucker Carlson, Joe Kent, MTG, Theo Von, Glenn Greenwald, Megyn Kelly, Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian, Joe Rogan, and others united behind him? And I feel like that’s well within reach in this cultural moment…
15 years ago today, cops in Iowa shut down three lemonade stands, including that of 4-year-old Abigail, pictured here.
She was selling 25-cent cups of lemonade to passersby. Her crime? She didn't have a $400 permit.
"If the line is drawn to the point where a 4-year-old… can't sell a couple glasses of lemonade for 25 cents, then I think the line has been drawn at the wrong spot," her dad said.
Another mom whose children had their lemonade stand shut down said:
“The kids were devastated. They just cried and didn't understand why.”
Headlines like these are what led @Libertas to create the "Lemonade Stand Law" — a state law prohibiting local governments from requiring permits or licenses or sales taxes from minors engaged in occasional business activity.
We got the last passed in Utah, our HQ state—becoming the first of its kind in the country. We've since helped over a dozen states pass similar laws.
And once we got the law changed, we created @kidsmarkets—a program to help kids get into entrepreneurship (with the government off their backs!). Tens of thousands of kids are participating around the country this year. More to come!
Israel funds and orchestrates invasions of Western nations. They did it with Spain today, Europe for a decade, and against the US under Biden.
"The carrot" is buying your politicians. "The stick" is mass illegal immigration.
This is fringe thinking at present but will be widely understood and accepted very soon.
Honestly, it's genius.
By genius I mean diabolical.
On average, Left wing politicians are not as pro-Israel as right wingers. Flood these nations under left-control. Population gets angry and elects the right winger. Right winger "stops the flood" but it was really Israel who called off the NGO backed invasion. And obviously they fund and own the right wing candidate. (In our case this is Trump)
Now, they have a dutiful puppet to support their expansionary projects in Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, Iran etc.
You might be thinking "but Clint wasn't Biden backing them in Gaza?" Well, sure. But that wasn't enough. They wanted Iran and Lebanon, next. Only Trump was compromised enough to give them that.
And you have dumb mfers in America who still look at Israel as an ally.
Insane.
Never forget that 33 years ago we learned the government will kill your dog, shoot your 14 year old son in the back and snipe your wife in the doorway while she holds your infant child.
#RubyRidge
Imagine being 14 years old, living off the grid in the Idaho woods in 1992. You’re walking your dog when suddenly he growls and *bang*, the dog is shot and killed. You look up and see a man in a Ghillie suit with a rifle pointed at you. Fear grips you. You pull your gun and fire. You’re just defending yourself. This is your home.
You run back toward your parents, only to be shot in the back and killed before you can reach them. You never understand what went wrong or why.
The next day, a sniper fires again. Your mother, standing in the doorway holding your baby sister, is hit in the head and killed instantly.
All of this started because your father Randy Weaver, sold two sawed-off shotguns to an undercover agent and refused to become a government informant. They gave him a false court date and set up armed surveillance at your home, waiting for the moment they could escalate.
Randy Weaver was a former U.S. Army Green Beret. He served in the military before moving off the grid with his family in northern Idaho. His military background added to the tension for federal authorities, because he was trained in weapons and survival, but it didn’t make him violent or a threat to anyone outside his property.
After an 11 day stand off with Randy and the baby inside with two dead bodies, the government was ordered to pay millions in settlements to Randy.
They were proven to be in the wrong for this deadly power trip.
But that doesn’t bring back a 14 year old boy or his mother.
Stay educated. Some of our history isnt taught in school for a reason. 💯
Something libertarians have to grapple with is that a significant number of people long for what we would (rightly) consider slavery.
No, they don’t want to be whipped, and they don’t want their family members to be sold away from them, but they want to live in an environment where their meals and housing are provided for them regardless of how hard they work and where they don’t have to make the difficult life choices that come with liberty.
FDR’s administration interviewed 2300 ex-slaves about what their experiences, and the *majority* had a positive view of the institution. Many of them wished to return to it.
“Well, sir, you want to talk to me ‘bout them good old days back yonder in slavery time, does you? I call them ‘good old days’ ‘cause I has never had as much since. I has worked harder since de war betwixt de North and de South than I ever worked under my marster and missus.”
— Junius Quattlebaum
This is not something unique to former slaves or to any particular race or ethnicity.
Everyone who calls themselves a communist longs for slavery because to them it is freedom. Slaves didn’t get fired; their food, shelter, and healthcare were taken care of by their master; their standard of living was not tied to their performance or aptitude; they only had to work hard enough to avoid beatings; they lived in community housing with their peers; and once they were done working for the day, their free time was entirely their own.
And it’s not just the communists. A *lot* of people just want to be taken care of and would gladly choose slavery so long as it was dressed up in a way as not to remind them of Django Unchained, Roots, or Uncle Tom’s Cabin. They love the idea of democratizing their life because voting is low effort and egalitarian. Every positive “right” they demand as a “human right” is something a slave owner would provide for them.
To them, being entirely responsible for their own lives feels like slavery. They don’t want the responsibility of managing a budget, paying bills, choosing a career, or managing their time. School was probably the best years of their lives because it’s closest they’ve ever been to a slave’s life.
And, when they others reach great success that they have failed achieve, this causes them distress. It makes them feel lesser, and they come up with all manner of excuses as to why people more successful than them were only lucky and/or immoral. Were they not responsible for their lot in life, they would be more content, their future would be less uncertain, and they would experience far less stress and anxiety.
I’ve come to think Aristotle was correct when he said some people are natural slaves. A homeless drug addict would be better off living in servitude than in control of his or her own life. Many would be happier if their lot in life was decided before they were born and there was never any hope or expectation that they could achieve more. There’s a certainty and a security to slavery that freedom cannot offer.
I’m not sure what to do with this information, but I’m trying to grapple with it. I don’t want it to be true, but I think it is. It certainly makes it seem like the Free State Project and similar initiatives are ultimately the only viable libertarian strategy, but that’s what America used to be, and look at where we are now.
I don't talk about it much because I feel totally powerless to stop it but, man...
The proxy war against Russia is escalating rapidly and the Iran war is nearing a point of no return. Both economically and militarily.
Trump is completely detached from reality and the water carrying hacks in his cabinet and in the media are doing fk all to snap him out of it.
I don't much trust Vance but in some ways his own political avarice may be our only hope. He has to know that his political career is dead in 2028 if he doesn't persuade Trump to end the wars.
So I guess the question is, can he?
It's all such a clusterfk.
I honestly can't believe what a disaster the first 18 months have been.
and it just keeps getting worse.
I am a moderate on Israel.
I just think the State should be abolished and its entire leadership subjected to a Nuremberg-style tribunal and sentenced to death for crimes against humanity.
The problem isn’t that recent elections were stolen - we won the damn elections. White House, Senate, House, even the Supreme Court leans our way.
The fraud is that our party got elected and broke our campaign promises to voters.
DON’T LET THIS STORY GET BURIED...
In 2021, CNN anchor Drew Griffin looks Dr. Rashid Buttar in the eye and says:
“I’m vaccinated. You think there is a ticking time bomb in me and I’m going to die?”
Dr. Buttar’s chilling reply:
“I hope not, but I’ll be happy to meet you in three years and see how you’re doing.”
Drew Griffin was diagnosed with cancer shortly after the shot… and died of TURBO CANCER in 2022.
He never made it to that three-year check-in.
This is what happens when warnings are mocked. Millions more are walking time bombs.
