@PatsKam Pretty sure every man wanted Chris Watts hung from the neck. I didn’t see any men wearing blue or posting tik toks defending him. LC has shown men that their are psychotic women who will support a women for killing her kids because they have “felt the same way”…..
@SuprMario47@TheHoleTweet@DemzDeliver “We want to show your kids sexually explicit things, stuff adults should talk about, or get them to start transitioning behind your back” Yeah we know asshole
No. Men don’t hate women.
They’re afraid.
And I wish women would stop for a moment and imagine what the last several years have looked like from their perspective.
A man knows that once a woman is pregnant, his voice over whether his own unborn child lives may effectively disappear. He sees women cheering laws that permit abortion very late in pregnancy and hears arguments about circumstances in which it could happen even near birth.
You cannot answer the terror in that with statistics.
He is imagining his child and realizing that his desire to protect that child gives him no veto.
Then he watches children treated as though they possess the adult foresight to make decisions capable of changing their sexual development, fertility and future ability to become mothers or fathers. He watches adults call that agency. He sees healthy breasts removed from some adolescent girls and parents who object called transphobic.
Many women championed this.
Again, imagine being a father.
He is told that wanting to preserve possibilities his child cannot even comprehend yet is not protection but bigotry.
And now he hears Patrick Clancy’s 911 call.
A father who had gone out for food and medicine for his children comes home and discovers the unimaginable.
Then men open their phones and see women saying they “relate” to Lindsay, rallying around her, insisting she is innocent, even insinuating that somehow the father must be responsible.
What do we expect men to feel?
I would hope they are horrified.
I would hope something ancient and protective rises up in them and says:
No. The children.
That is not some boogeyman called “patriarchy.”
That is a lie.
It is paternal.
A father’s impulse to protect his children is not oppression. A potential father’s horror at imagining himself powerless to protect children he does not even have yet is not misogyny.
It is love mixed with terror.
And women are frightened too.
I say this as a rape survivor who lived through MeToo. I know what female social pressure feels like. I know how quickly another woman’s pain can be recruited into a collective narrative and how quickly hesitation can be called betrayal.
Women are human. We are capable of extraordinary tenderness, courage and protection. We are also capable of conformity, cruelty, status-seeking and being swept into a crowd.
Those of us whose families lived under totalitarianism recognize the danger here.
The Great Narrative takes an ordinary moral response and gives it an ideological name.
Paternal protection becomes “patriarchy.”
Fear becomes “misogyny.”
Protecting a child’s future becomes “transphobia.”
Female dissent becomes betrayal of women.
And pretty soon men look at women and think we have become monsters, while women look back and conclude that men hate us.
That is the trap.
Don’t fall for it.
Do not let the most grotesque women performing online convince you that they represent women. Do not let the angriest frightened men convince you that they represent hatred.
Fear is not hatred.
Paternal is not patriarchy.
And you cannot cure terror by shaming people for feeling it.
We should be coming together here, because underneath all of these political abstractions is something remarkably simple:
Children are not ideological material.
Do not kill them.
Do not destroy their future possibilities because a theory tells you it is compassionate.
Do not teach them to fear becoming mothers or fathers.
And do not teach men and women to fear one another for wanting to protect them.
The children come first.
We do not have to live by lies.
@babybatgyaru@ImJustinLeznik@pikwimin_ The anti-abortion guy was still anti-abortion? Never said he wants gay people dead. Never advocated for violence, but advocated for the right to own a gun to defend yourself. Holy brainwashed man. I’m not even a CK guy, but shit you’re washed.
@VeronicaTurbay@wake_up_girl_3 I didn’t see men wearing blue and making tik toks defending them either. You defend their behavior because that’s what women do. More tribalistic than men will ever be
@BarBQ96@FaithPhoenix123 Heres a visual for you. I show a video of a car entering the frame and exiting at normal speed (30mph) and we can see it. If I showed you the same video but the car was going infinite mph, you would not be able to see it. God is infinite and is present everywhere at all times.
@JordanUhl Yes let’s have universal healthcare so that we can have waiting lines like in Canada! Except, we don’t have a place to go for cancer treatment. (Mexico?) That’s why they now have introduced assisted suicide into the medical plans up there. Really good stuff.
@DocStrangelove2 Whats gnarly about it all is how blind some people are to it. There is clearly a spiritual war going on right now and I know which side wins in the end✝️
@SaraForTexLege Considering the beef industry was dying long before Trump took office, he doesn’t have much choice here. The herd sizes have rapidly decreased over the past 50 years. But you get your political win in.
@lachancenaomi27@J_whomstever Churches will literally run fundraisers to feed the poor, mission trips (they give out a lot of food, candy, water, etc.) clothes drives, hospitals!!!!!, and even run their own food banks.
@Ultramarine577@phemeralemerald As someone who has a History degree and a Master’s in Public Administration, universities are extremely left leaning. I tried to use Thomas Sowell as a source and a professor told me that he was not a reliable because there is not data. (She never read Sowell)
