@DiscoverSLC@DiscoverSLC and the Utah Utes got tired of seeing the rest of the country dis on them. So in order to look good, they had to make their own graphics.
@PetGorilla Hate on us, PetGorilla, but we will not hate you back. We’ve been dealing with your ilk for almost 200 years. We just keep getting stronger and stronger.
@ryanswalters73 Unfortunately, all the inhabitants of the book of Mormon cities took down all their street signs and city placards. If they have only known the impact of that decision.
Utah is the greatest success story of the American experiment.
On the measures that hold a society together and move men and women toward flourishing, no place compares.
Strong families. Utah leads the nation in marriage stability and two-parent households. It also has the highest birth rate in America, 15 to 20 percent above the national average.
Low poverty. Utah has the lowest childhood poverty rate in the country and the fewest households on public assistance or SNAP.
Most devout. Pew Research finds Latter-day Saints are the most observant Christians in the nation, leading in weekly worship, daily prayer, and regular scripture study.
Men with purpose. Richard Reeves studies what is happening to men and boys in America. On Utah he wrote: “The good news is that most men say they understand their purpose in life. The share is a full ten percentage points higher in Utah than the U.S. as a whole, almost certainly a reflection of the unusually high rates of religiosity and marriage in the state.”
Model citizens. University of Pennsylvania researchers found that active Latter-day Saints volunteer far more than the average American. Utah families also lead the country in the share of income they give away.
Built by covenant. None of this is luck. Pioneers organized a desert around binding promises to God through Jesus Christ that put family stability and mutual obligation first.
A history of excellence. A century ago, Latter-day Saint women fought infant and maternal mortality without waiting for federal programs. They built clinics, trained nurses, and drove death rates below the national average.
Best state. U.S. News and World Report has ranked Utah number one for four straight years.
Beliefs lead to habits. Habits lead to outcomes.

False: Mormons are taught to hate US president Ulysses S Grant. He wouldn't let them practice polygamy and marry a bunch of underage girls.
False: we have always been anti slavery. The state of Missouri passed the Mormon extermination order which legalized the shooting of Mormons on the spot for no reason. They did this to run the Mormons out of Missouri because the Mormons were anti-slavery.
In fact, the Mormon battalion helped secure the American Southwest for the U.S., and blazed wagon routes that aided westward expansion and later infrastructure like the transcontinental railroad.
