There are other examples too... Regardless, there is nothing democratic about a Digital ID that is centrally controlled. Digital ID will be required and needs to be solved, but it must be decentralised, away from governments and private interests, who want control.

Another step closer to totalitarian control. Innocent Australians are already "de-banked" without due course and disconnected from financial services, which is already debilitating. This is the next step to being "turned off" when an Australian does not agree with government.

The idea that Australia’s democracy requires its Government to control what is true or false is very worrying. In recent years the Government telling the truth has been rare… more rare is it’s interest in representing all individual Australians before corporate media interests.
