@PeterDClack A quick google: The "Primary Energy Fallacy": This measure misleads because it is the input heat required to create energy. Eg, about two-thirds of energy from fossil fuels is lost as waste heat. By contrast, wind & solar generate direct, usable electricity with almost zero loss.
@vilnaliudyna323@ZelenskyyUa Yeah right. How you going to run an election in Russian-occupied Ukraine? You going to drive around and collect the ballot boxes yourself?
@Sam_Mindset@ZelenskyyUa Thats a fancy way of saying leave Ukraine defencelss so Russia can win. How about tip the scale with 100 Tomahawks so that for every missile Russia lobs, then get 10 back? Between a battlefield standstill and econimic stagnation at home, Russia may have to quit.
@RittOnTwitt75@ChristopherJM While the memorandum gave no explicit guarantees, and was vague, it did leave the door open to the possibility of assistance. Clinton has said recently it was he who pressured Ukraine to give up the nukes, and he regrets that now.
@DenisonBarbs@Acyn Same in Australia - we have a travel warning issued that you may be searched, as well as your devices and accounts and that criticism of Trump could have you turned back.
@RpsAgainstTrump How about those secondary bans on organistions trading with Russia that Trump threatened? Nope, lets hit China instead. In fact, lets hit everyone BUT Russia.
@Irex2023@BillAckman @robdjohansen @VDHanson@realDonaldTrump Protectionism? When the US buys $100m in diamonds from an African nation, which only buys $10m of US goods, the difference is calculated as 90% "protectionist" then halved to 45%? This is the logic you're defending? When the whole topic omits US services sold, and is only goods?
@BeingJWood This. Politicians the world over talk about creating jobs, but they don't talk about the quality of those jobs. I lot of US talk seems targeted at older guys who struggle to reskill after a life mining coal, but I bet, wouldn't want their kids down mines.
@FollowTheScien4@janrosenow "The successful projects include two batteries and a pumped hydro project, totaling 1.03 GW and 13.79 GWh of energy storage capacity"
@rnosewor @cataclysmkrew @BetterThanMars@valdombre Here's the thing. How do we know Krew is actually American? They could easily be a foreign actor following the ancient "divide and conquer" model.
@atrupar Exactly. Much of the numbers of US trade deficits are for goods, not services. That is the US buys low margin goods that aren't worth making in the US, and then sells Office 365, Disney Plus and Amazon Web services with 80% margins to the world. Add in services and US is positive
