Parents and Teachers: A simple trick to maximize your read aloud minutes with your children is to level up the text so that you can model accessing more complex text! If your child reads at a Kindergarten level, choose a book that is at first grade for read aloud.
@LearningwithKL I would love to see students be assessed and screened not just on their grades but also based on a gifted rating scale in order to disrupt the deficit model for our gifted programs. Both our twice exceptional youth and diverse cultures deserve the chance to access gifted ed.
