For this week’s lesson, my mom learned how to bookmark websites in Google Chrome so that they’re handy during her meets with her students! 🔖 #letsteachadults@YEPeducation
@rachkim_YEP@YEPeducation I had actually started to make folders for her a while back when I used to backup her photos for her. This time, she made any new folders she needed to and added other photos to the existing folders!
For our final lesson, my mom learned how to put the photos from her iPhone on a USB!📱She even made folders to keep them organized! I’m so proud of how far she has come and look forward to doing some future lessons😊 #letsteachadults@YEPeducation
@YEP_Newsha@YEPeducation She found it a bit challenging at first, and we had a few little mishaps, but by the end of the lesson she was transferring the photos on her own with very few reminders!
@heymspathak@YEPeducation I love this! We’ve become super dependent on social media to keep in touch with others during this pandemic, but it’s important to recognize how it may also be affecting our mental health and that we should schedule time away from it
@SabrinaPuglie13 It’s awesome that you were able to adapt your lesson in the moment! Great thinking on your feet! A review is also a wonderful way to wrap everything up
@NonnoRusso @YEPeducation It’s great that you built your lesson around your learner’s questions this week! It looks like he’s becoming more independent and confident in his learning!
@godhianr_YEP@YEPeducation What a great idea to finish off with a review! It sounds like it really helped your dad consolidate everything he has learned!
@marmst_YEP@YEPeducation She had actually been asking me if there was a way she could get to the sites she needed quicker so I don’t think she knew about it either! My mom got the hang of it pretty quickly, she only asked for guidance a few times after I first helped her with it!
@TeachingWithRai@YEPeducation Looks delicious!! I like how you catered your lesson on surfing the web to help your mom look for recipes she wanted to try!
@mani_YEP @YEPeducation Great idea to switch up the learning and cater to your learner’s interests! Do you think you’ll continue with fitness next week or go back to technology?
@NaomiAngEd@YEPeducation I love the idea of using flash cards to engage in shorter conversations of various topics! It also helps you see which topics interest her the most!
@NonnoRusso @YEPeducation I love the idea of doing a scavenger hunt to see if your learner is able to apply the skills you’ve been working on! It’s nice to hear it went really well!
@EmilyGaraci@YEPeducation Such a great skill to have and it looks like your grandma had fun learning it! Now she’ll be able to use her phone to capture special moments!
@EmilyGaraci@YEPeducation She actually just made a practice presentation with me. She’s excited to use and adapt some of the ideas within the ones she uses with her students though!
This week my mom learned how to add images, videos, charts and other visuals to her Google Slides presentations! At the end of the lesson she responded to some reflection questions and a self-evaluation 👩💭 #letsteachadults@YEPeducation
@NarthakiS @YEPeducation Great idea to switch up the learning environment, Narthaki! It’s always nice to get out into nature, and we have to take advantage while we still can!
