I taught my first lesson today in my new placement on Financial Literacy! It feels great to inspire and empower young minds to learn how to be smart with their money and build good financial habits!

So today my grandma worked on typing in Whatsapp, specifically how to touch the mini keyboard and identify letters that are known to her & record an audio message to send. The touch feature has been a work in progress but has highly improved! #letsteachadults@YEPeducation
This week I taught my grandmother how to switch back and forth between the caller list and chat list on whatsapp and how to access chats and return back to the list. @YEPeducation#letsteachparents
This week, my grandmother and I went through the chatting feature on Whatsapp. She cannot type but I taught her how to view videos/ text people send her and go back to the caller list subsection. She needs to practise but I am proud of her progress! @YEPeducation#letsteachadults
This week I printed out sheets of the WhatsApp screen, labelled in red got my father to write in Hindi for my grandma to keep as a reference. We focused much of our lesson on getting her more comfortable with using the touch screen and aud/vid call @YEPeducation#letsteachadults
Me and my grandma had our first lesson earlier this week. Her head starts to spin when the lesson gets complicated so we are going slow and steady so she is able to learn at a comfortable pace! She now can unlock the phone and access WhatsApp! #letsteachadults@YEPeducation
Today I met with my grandmother and I taught her how to charge her new smartphone and we added her fingerprint! She wants to learn how to video call first; our biggest challenge is she does not speak English but I'm sure we can achieve her goals #Letsteachadults@YEPeducation
